Boost your Climate Change Communication Skills

Do you want to boost your climate change communication skills by developing ways of building desirable visions of a positive low carbon future?

Sell the Sizzle: the new climate message

Sizzle is the latest piece of thought leadership to focus on the need to develop tangible, desirable and aspirational visions of a positive low carbon future. When selling a sausage, it's the sizzle that counts, the sound and smell - otherwise you're selling a dead pig. Unfortunately on climate change it's passed-away pork we've been flogging, so maybe a bit of sizzle might help...

Sizzle is the brainchild of Futerra, one of the few UK communications consultancies to specialise solely in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. We’ve invited them to work exclusively with Climate Challenge Fund groups on helping develop your abilities to engage with your community.

Our special CCF workshop will be led by:

Harriet Kingaby, a consultant in the Engage team – dedicated to internal communications.   She has worked on a range of projects and engagement workshops where she advises on the use of communications to engage and motivate staff on sustainable development issues.  As part of a team that creates methods of communicating complex issues in an easy to understand manner, she has advised a wide variety of organisations in diverse sectors, from multinationals to small businesses and government local authorities.  Recent clients include Unilever, Nandos, E.ON, Bloomberg and AXA Insurance.

Helen Spoor,  a consultant in the Strategy Team who has worked on a wide range of projects from multi-national campaigns through to Government agencies. These have included facilitation, branding and development, concept development, and strategic communication reviews.  She specialises in advising on corporate reporting and writing environmental strategies.  Recent projects include Prudential, University College London, Business Social Compliance Initiative, Convention of Biological Diversity and Global Reporting Initiative.
